:-*After some long negoiations and awaiting approval on the other end,I think I have gotten a deal that many karters and their families will be able to make good use of. Thru the efforts of Darvin at Yoders Travel Incentives and my self we have worked out a deal with getupand go.com in obtaining 90 each get up and go minni vacations, of 3 days and 2 nights(for 2 adults over 21 and 2 kids under 18 ) from a selection of 21 locations..this pays for the rooms only, these rooms normally run from $90 -$200 a nite plus,so they are nice accomodations provided by Fairfield,Inc,..these get up and go's can be chaecked out at www.getupandgo.com and looking under the Classic vacations the Blue series which allow any day of the week check in,and what the restrictions are, what locations are available and end result cost to you who use one of these($3-$17 sales/luxury tax) per nite. This is not a time share,no lectures or speechs to attend, they will ask you when you pick up reservations if they can assist you with additional days, trips, rental car, plane tickets etc but no obligations what so ever. We also got one super get up and go to be given away at the banquet and its for 5 days/4 nights in Hawaii any day of week check in ,this one can be found under Island hopper the Blue Series and the restrictions are detailed also on it,this again is for room costs only. These will be awarded at each event held and given to the winners of feature races, since no karter or family can receive more than one of these per year, they will be given out to the 2nd place and on down the line if the one above has allready received one ,I think over 40% of the regulars(those who race 3 or more events) will receive one of these and it would be nice to see groups use them at the same time for places like Disney world and etc. I hope the karters enjoy them and give Yoder's Travel Incentives a try for other vacations.

:-*I will be attending the Karting Expo at St Charles,Ill this next wekend 21st and 22nd meeting some of our current sponsors(Digatron ,BurrisRacing and Speedway USA) and working on some new ones, hopefully I can get the word out on our series.Every week I see others who say they are gonna run this series so I see most all classes having a large field which should make for some good racing and an interesting points series. Keep passing the word and tell them to e-mail us with their intentions,it looks like Matt Sullivan from the Osgood area is bringing a good group with them for this series, and with others committed from up north and from Kentucky with the normal group from Bogg's ,Seedtick and Greenville we are gonna have a hugh turnout.

The wife and I had a wonderful time at the karting expo,we met most of our major sponsors for the Kentuckiana Burris Series and many who plan on making the events from differant parts of the country. We also had a good talk with the Burris family and things look good for the future especially with the development of the F200 engines. I also had a long discussion with Tim Wilkerson of the Southern Indiana Burris Series and he agreed to look and find some way that could solve the conflict of Osgood race date and the Kentuckiana Burris Series event on May 22nd, if he does this it would benefit both series and give many a chance to race both series. Another thing discussed was the possibility of having a Midwest Burris Championship event after the end of the normal karting season, this is a gamble because of the weather but for this year its the only dates available since many tracks have allready cut their seasons short to allow for the (2)Burris series .If not this year then maybe we can start next year and invite the Burris group from Illinois, the Southern Indiana Burris Group and the Kentuckiana Burris group amd if Kentucky next year has its own Series for central and southern tracks then invite them also. Maybe by then we can have some good F200 classes. I plan on having a F200 engine available in april and will try to find a kart to install it on to let others try it out at the Kentuckiana Burris Series events and we plan on also racing it at a few other F200 events as the engine for Adams Grubbs Jr. Sprt III Kart. Hopefully we can get 3 or 4 more in our area , and have a class for them yet this year.

8-)We are still seeking more sponsors for the series especially some who want to offer contigencies if their product is on a winning kart so I would suggest that any karters that plan on racing these events contact their dealers and see if they would offer something. Grubb Racin will receive their F200 engine probably by this weekend or monday,Grubb Racin and Boss Wrench engines will soon have a deal worked out to provide these engines to others, hopefully there will be enough sold to form at least one junior class(gold) and one senior class within a month or so in this general area. The sponsors for the Novice Class bond drive is moving right along, again if any one wants to help in this effort contact your local business and explain the $50 bonds only cost them $25 and if the money is sent to me my bank will purchase them all at once and will include a certificate that says who the bond came from to the Novice who gets it.

We have now added ARC Racing to our sponsor list they will provide somewhere around $400 worth of gift certs for their products, they do make the billet rods,so those who want to have rebuilts for next year could really use them come banquet time, thanks Tom Cole @ ARC. In adition Grubb Racin and Boss Wrench are waiting for word of when they can start geting F200 kits so they can sell the assembled/tuned F200's to those who want one,if interested call Cecil or Everett and get on the list, the ready to run units with tuned exhaust will be around $1700,these are gas power units that operate on 87 to 97 octane ,rpm's in range of 6800 to 7200 and output is approx 15 hp.Eventually these engines can be purchased for Jr. 1,Junior 2 and Junior 3/senior,the only difference is the carbs.

;D The time for the first event of the 5 events series is getting closer and closer, the first event at Bogg's could be one of the largest karting events that this area has seen, get the word out everyone and lets get some spectators out also and show the park board just how much karting brings into this area. We definetly need pictures from all aspects at this event so that we can get it to Speedway USA. Many who race Seedtick friday and saturday have said they will be at this first event on May 22nd so get there early because being the first event and not that many pre-entries a lot of paperwork will have to be done, after the first event most paperwork will be on file and things will be quicker, get ready to go

Well the 1st of 5 races in the Kentuckiana Burris Series, I know that there is mixed feelings from all, but I have to tell, there sure was some great racing in all classes, I know that due to time constraints with the park, the features were not able to be run, however I think Cecil and his crew did a fine job to make sure all was fair to everyone.....
Keep in mind with a kart count of 168 you cannot possibly make everyone happy..... I am relatively sure most were satisfied maybe not completely satisfied, but ok. and understanding of situation.... Yes I personally would have like to got to run features... However it just didnt' work that way, lets hope for this first event that mistakes have been corrected and the rest of the series will be ok.... I for one will definately put my vote in for WEST BOGGS to be on the schedule again for next year, This is a great track with lots of opportunity and potential, Thanks for a pretty good racing night, with lots of action...and pretty smooth and fast racing surface.. Keep up the work and dont be discouraged some people just wouldn't be happy if they raced all night, won every race they were in and got a fat wallet with prize money they would still gripe that the food was cold, cost to much money to get there, and the bugs were too thick......
I tried to get around the pits to meet and greet folks, I did manage to meet some really nice families..
I would like to let the gentleman and his family who I was pitted next to from down around the Rockport area, that if the rest of the clan from that area are nice and cordial as you all were, should be a really great night of racing when the KBS rolls into that area.... Looking forward to it..
Also I had a great pleasure in meeting and talking with Jon of GraphixSavers.... Really nice talking with you... If no one has had a chance to talk with Jon you are missing out.. Great person.. and Great Product...
Princeton here we come for round #2 of the KENTUCKIANA BURRIS SERIES.....
