:-XWe had a very successful board meeting today at Jerry's Resturant, the meeting lasted over 4hrs and a lot was discussed. We will soon start posting many of the items discussed along with forms for entry and the releases. We have set the age, weight, restrictor plates sizes and the classes that could possibly be ran. A complete rundown will soon be posted but there are approx. 18 possible classes so if you are left out it probably isn't our fault it will be due to the fact that some didn't like our rules for a class or their weren't anyone who wanted to make it to the first two races for that class. More to follow... We will have open practice for these events but it will be rotated between the kids and adults classes, such as possibly 6 to 8 at a time or more on the large tracks. Starting position for the heat races will be by a bingo machine and a coin flip to whether its straight up or inverted starting order.

:-*Here is how points will be earned for the Kentuckiana Burris Series. This may seem complicated but it really isn't what it does do is make sure that if you show up and get on the track in a very large class and don't make a feature for that nite you still don't loose everthing, but again it makes the karters need to make as many show ups as possible. There will be 25 bonus points awarded to any karter who enters all 5 events for an individual class(splitting your entries between differant classes doesn't work),in classes that can't run for points at West Bogg's because of tire rule those classes 25 bonus points will start at the second event and make it mandatory to make the last four events. Kentuckiana Burris Series Points Structure
Champions and other order of finishs will be determined based upon the following points sytsem.
1.Heat race postions will be awarded 1 point for each entry in that class at each event. A. example if 10 karts are enter first place will get 10 points ,2nd place 9 points and etc. B. If 5 or less karts are in an event first place will receive 5 points,2nd place 4 points and etc. C. If more than one heat is run then points will be based upon the following, example 2 heats of 10 each would result in first place getting 20 points in each heat, second place getting 18 points in each heat etc.
2. Feature race positions will be awarded 2 points for each kart entered based upon entries to heat race. A.example 10 karts heat for a class 20 points for first etc. B.If 5 or less then 10 points for first, etc. C.All features will be limited to 18 karts but points will be based upon total of entries for that class.Example if 28 karts sign up for a class a min. of two heats will be run and top 9 from each class will advance to feature but points will be based upon 28 karts, feature winner will receive 56 points ,2nd place will get 54 points and etc.down to 18th place which would get 22 points all who didn't make feature would receive 20 points each using this kart count as an example(28)
3. All karts will receive points if they take a green flag,if more than one go out on a given lap, points will be rewarded based upon position of previous lap,if its a first lap then points for those who do not complete one lap will be based upon starting position in relation to each other.
4. All karts black flagged will receive points assigned to them based upon their order of being black flagged after all karts have been scored that were running at finish of race regardless of how many laps down.
5.Any kart DQ'd will not receive points for that event whether its an on track violation, tech dq or other sanction for improper behavior from driver, parent or pit crew, black flag does not necessary mean a DQ for points but could be deemed as such if its a conduct violation.

:-*Even through we have not been posting much on this series lately rest assure that we are out working very hard to make this series one that you will remember. We will very shortly sign a deal with Digatron that will offer not only some real nice banquet prizes but also some needed items at each race held. Most of these items given out will be on a random basis so everyone will have a chance if you are there. Digatron thanks to Kin and Bettie have been very nice to us. We also have been out getting other sponsors lined up,I do have allready a few individuals and small business that have said they will purchase savings bonds to give out to the Novice class since they will only be running for participation trophies ,these savings bonds will be given out at the banquet to the Novice class in addition to them being eligible for the regular banquet drawings. I would like for everyone to check with some of their local business and see if they will do the same and contact me if they will. We still would like for all karters that havn't done so who plan on making some of these events to make us aware of their intentions so that we care make sure each host track is prepared to handle your needs, but only notifiy us if you really plan on making some of them. I may also have some other good news very soon in regards to some very good prizes at each karting event that anyone can earn by just showing up and running.

:)I have ok'd Mike to post the entry form on our web site, they have to be signed and mailed to Cecil Grubb rr2 box 27 Washington,In 47501 I have to have an orginal..signed copy for file. Its possible we may have to modify the entry form but don't think so.Remember this is the only way to reserve your number but mailing it in now for only one class and one event will do just that for all the events if no one has beat you to it. We have signed a contract with Digatron and will soon post what we will give away from them,it does include items at each event and not just to winners, and two super prizes at the banquet from them. If you know anyone who would like to sponsor a certain class at one of the host tracks let us know,it could be in the form of trophies for that nite or even additional money as how they want it paid out. I now have a couple of them allready.

A junior driver will be asked to eat with a series board member at each event and his meal will be paid for. 1 Digatron Acquisition device of karters choice will be given away at the banquet thru a random drawing of all karters. 1 Digatron Acquisition device of karters choice will be awarded to the karter who generates the most points during the series, karters who display two(2) Digatron decals, which Digatron will make available at any event that they run for points, karters have to ask for them and affix either in front or side or both.(we may divide the total points accumulated by the number of classes a karter runs, undecided yet) Caps, shirts etc will be also available at the banquet from Digatron. We are still pursueing other sponsors for more items for both the banquet and each event at hosting tracks.

:-/Call your friends and get them to send their pre-entries into the series as soon as possible and it will be a big assistance to the tracks. If you intend on making the first event at Bogg's then an early entry submitted would do a lot of things for the series and the track itself... 1. it would give us an idea of how many is going to show up which would make it possible for the track to be more prepared. 2. It would allow you to guarantee that, your number is reserved for the series. 3. By prepaying the Bogg's/any event for $25 ,the day of the Bogg's event you still can pay the Additional sum of $75 and qualify for the 5 event $100. 4. By pre-entering and signing the releases it would insure we have your releases on file and it would speed things up if the orginals are sent to us. 5. We know from experience that many sponsors look at the pre-entries and this could not only add more sponsors but could also possibly get them to add to what they have allready given. Lets get ready to go

Would you purchase a $5 raffle ticket on a Rage Dagger sprint chassis and on a Rage Nitro Champ chassis if the tickets are only sold to karters who enter the Kentuckiana Burris Series or purchased under their name (This way anyone can purchase a ticket that is connected with the series for a kid, grandson, or friend that is a karter in the series)? Please vote at www.kentuckianaburrisseries.com
