By Sunday nite we hope to a press release about giving the details of this series,it will consist of 5 events all within 2 hrs drive of each other ,many who visit this forum will be glad to hear which tracks are included, there is a variety but each has its own unique features. I think most will really like the points setup and also how each track hosting an event have come together to arrange their entire season to accomadate this series so that maximum participation can be had from all track members at not only when they host the event but also at all the other hosting tracks . Any one who wants to race against a strong field every time out should have no problem of getting their wish. We will also be looking forward to new faces in this area as we have allready got inquiries from futher distances saying they may also be interested in running this series.

Kentuckiana Burris Karting Series We are pleased to annouce that we have worked out all the details for a new karting series called Kentuckiana Burris Series. This will consist of five karting events held at five tracks. These events will consist of classes for the open (sprint) chassis and the champ kart chassis with points being rewared for both the heat races and features towards a seasons total point championship in each class. The tracks selected for the 2004 season was the result of carefully planning the dates for each track so as not to interfer with their own scheduled racing events,in addition not to interfer with the others tracks scheduled races, this was done to insure that everyone from each track would have a chance to race the other tracks and not miss their own tracks points events. The tracks selected and the dates for those events are as follows. . The schedule is as follows: May22 West Boggs@Loogootee,In. June5 Seedtick@Princeton,In. June19 Greenville,Ky. Aug.7 Reo@Rockport,In. Aug.21 Bakersfield@Linton,In.(big track) Banquet time and place will be announced at later date but it will be a bar-b-que outdoors with a track fun day planned. Entry fee's are $25 per class per event or pre-register for $100 per class for all 5 events No Refunds as we will run all scheduled events,we have rain dates available Class Format; Novice Jr# 1,2,3 Rookie Champ Lights Jr champ#1,2 Mediums Star Champ Heavys Powder Puff Yamaha Any other class under BNSS or WKA will be considered Opens 70% payback 30% goes toward banquet at end of series with trophys to be awarded as well as other nice prizes. Sponsor list, BURRIS,LIGHTNING LIGHT,DIGATRON,B&B MOTORS,SBR with more to be added as the interest in this series is growing. If interested in running this series please send e-mail to one of the folowing people; Cecil at chgss@dmrtc.net Nick at stomper8@earthlink.net Matt at mlcck@gibsoncounty.net We will soon establish a web page for this series with direct links to each track with pictures track specifications and other infomation. Pre-entry forms along with releases will be made available on line to insure a more speedy check in.

:-*We have allready had karters from Ohio,Lower Kentucky and Northern Indiana among a lot of Southern Indiana Karters sending email saying they will probably race some of these events if not all of them. Nay one who plans on racing these events it would be nice to receive an -email saying so,we would like to start getting a feel as to how large a kart count the host tracks can expect, We plan on working close with all the tracks to make sure each track has proper facilities, including rest rooms, parking and concessions. If you have a chassis contact we definetly would be interested in obtaing a regular chassis along with a champ chassis to give away to one of the class champions in both the sprint(regular) style and champ style. We have other ideas of doing the same with motors and etc. This all depends on karter turnout and deals that can be made with sponsors, many sponsors have chassis that are left over each year and this should be a good write off for them. If you know of any one who would like to sponsor this series have them to contact us,we want to fly evey sponsors banners at the host tracks when we are there. We have allready been contacted by Speedway USA Magazine and a short teaser article will be in the next issue with more articles thruout the series what better way than to get a sponsor National exposure. I will try and keep this forum up to date when we get sponsors commited for specific items, such as Lightning Lights promise of a few complete fiberglass bodies and plenty of gift certificates for the Banquet. Later all and pass the word,we will be at the Kentucky Rumble and have flyers.See the Dragon #43 Adam Grubb Tent

I want to thank everyone for the interest in this series as I think that with the inquiries so far,it may end up being one of the biggest events in this area with the exception of the Rumble@Louisville. We have several things planned for the banquet and if we can pull this off it will blow all former banquets away! But for this to happen we need everyone to get others interested in participating in this event as all money collected(yes I said all&I will provide every track representative with paperwork from each event so ther are no questions) will go back into banquet less any advertising or long distance phone calls directly pertaining to events that we incur. Good luck to everyone next season and we'll be seeing you at your home tracks as I intend to come around to as many tracks possible and pass out flyers and talk to people face to face. do we have to pre-register for all events, or can we just pay for each race at the track

:DYou do not have to pre registar, its suggested that you download the forms when they are available and it will help on your check in at the Kentuckiana Burris Table, the Price is still $25,the precheck allows you to get 5 events for the price of 4 but even that can be done at the first event date. The pre-registar does allow you to lock your kart number in if it hasn't allready been taken by a person who opts the one time payment of $100 for all 5 events. Once a kart number is assigned we plan on letting that kart keep it because it helps in keeping points straight. So if a number has been used by a kart at one event he still has it for the next regardless of when he shows up,I believe this is right,we will have our first board meeting this Sunday and most rules will be gone over ,I will make sure I'm in agreement with the others on this.

:-*We have scheduled a Kentuckiana Burris Series Board meeting with all the tracks rep's for Sunday Jan 4th.,2004 . If you have questions that you want forward then now is the time to get them to me or to you club president and we will address them. Don't ask us to try to get the host tracks to change their own rules as we don't get involved in the host tracks decisions in that regards.
