Best Appearing flat kart and champ kart will recieve a cash award and trophy. Hints to win this competition - driver and crew have matching uniforms, kart looks orderly and nice, drivers helping with kart adjustments. You do not have to fulfill these in order to enter the Kart and Driver Show, but it would be a good idea! More info will come soon!
Fireworks Show at completion of races!
Last years show was awesome from what I have heard (I was setting stuff off, so I didn't get to watch any of it!). This year's show is set to be better!
Full day of racing

This event is more that just a race, it is an experience! We have planned to day to be extremely family oriented with a bunch of excellent racing!

Qualifying sessions to determine the starting order for the features. Trophies and awards will be given at the track!

Gates open at 8:00
Practice starts at 10:00
Driver's meeting at 1:00
Qualifying at 1:30
Awards Ceremony and Presentation, Driver's Introduction, and Pre-Race Ceremonies from completion of qualifying to 6:30
Features start at 6:30
Fireworks show at completion of features!

10-14 karts
1st - $300

100% payback to the top 3 (figured on $50 entry fee)

Junior 1 - 250 lbs - 6-9 years old (purple restrictor)
Junior 2 - 275 lbs - 10-11 years old (aqua restrictor)
Junior 3 - 320 lbs - 12-14 years old (gold restrictor)
Sportsman Champ 1 - 300 lbs - 6-9 years old (purple restrictor)
Sportsman Champ 2 - 315 lbs - 10-11 years old (aqua restrictor)
Junior Champ - 345 lbs - 12-14 years old
Stock Lite - 325 lbs - 15+ years old
Stock Medium - 350 lbs - 15+ years old
Stock Heavy - 375 lbs - 15+ years old
Stock Super Heavy - 400 lbs - 15+ years old (driver must weigh 200 lbs)
Senior Champ - 410 lbs - 15+ years old
Junior Animal - 320 lbs - 12-14 years old (black restrictor)
Animal Medium - 350 lbs - 15+ years old

$55 pre-entry (deadline is June 17 - postmarked)
$80 at gate registration
$10 pit pass
$10 per kart practice on Friday, June 30
$25 reserved parking (call for availability)
$20 overnight RV parking w/o hookups
General Admission
FREE - 11 years and younger
$5 - 12 years old to 17 years old
$10 - 18 years and older

Layout:
Only 20 karts will start the feature race. The top 20 will be recorded by qualifying. The order of the feature races will be set according to time in the qualifying sessions.

Hey if Oval kart is coming out, I may just make plans myself to come out.... I dont know alot about asphalt setup, heck I dont know alot about dirt set up, but I would be willing to come out and join in on the fun.... what kind of tires do I need and what would be a good gear....

Frank is that you... if you are going to be there,, I may just come over for that... I still need to get with you on Atoka... went out today to a little 1/8 mile and had to run in a lite class gave up about 80 or so pounds but we finished 4 th in heat race, cause I got exhausted, and in feature I spin to avoid an accident and well they put me to the tell and kart went away,,, finished last...

thats how racing goes...

The web-site problem has been fixed for everyone that has had problems in the past week.

Just to let everyone know, I am back home from the hospital and in excellent shape, walking talking and feeling strong! The pre-entry date has been pushed back to Saturday, June 24 because of the race cancellation and because of the operation. Get those in if you still need too! We are expecting a good crowd, with articles in a couple of national magazines! And a Fireworks show!!

The at-gate registration has been reduced to $70.
Reserved pits have also been reduced to $15.
For everyone who paid $25, I will settle with you at the track!

The web-site has been updated with the list of pre-entries and a list of people who have reserved pit spots. All trailers left at Dacosa Speedway over the night of Friday, June 30, must be in their reserved pit spot.

I have been working on the track for the past 3 days. The soft-wall has been fixed. The fence running away from the track in turn 4 has been taken down. The fence from turn 4 to the tri-oval has also been fixed. The backstretch fence has been taken down and hay bales are in its place. The hay is located 30 feet from the track. There is ample run-off room all around the track!

The grass will be cut tomorrow, all around the track.

The lights are in the process of being adjusted and will be done by Friday afternoon's practice session. We are also adding 2 additional lights to provide better lighting all around the track and pit areas! We would like to thank Dynamic Electric and Woods Electric.

Dacosa Speedway is going to be completly ready for this weekend's big event - are you?
